Medical Education Grant: An independent Medical education grant provides funding to support a non-promotional educational activity developed for healthcare professionals that the Accrediting Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) defines as an activity to “maintain, develop, or increase the knowledge, skills, and professional performance and relationships that a physician uses to provide services for patients, the public, or the profession.” A recipient may use an Aptalis Medical Education Grant solely for the program for which it was provided. The recipient may not use the grant funds for any other purpose. All programs receiving educational grants must be non-promotional and free of Aptalis influence.

Research Grant: A Research Grant provides support in the form of funding for Investigator-Initiated Study (IIS) and Research fellowships. IIS must be medically appropriate and scientifically valid and have an appropriate risk/benefit ratio.
